ALFONSO APARICIO
Aparicio is the only Atleti player to have won four league titles. He excels at man-marking thanks to his athletic ability and excellent positioning. Ricardo Zamora pairs him with Mesa in the defensive line that plays a key role in Atlético’s first two league titles. Under Helenio Herrera, he goes on to win two more titles. After retiring, and following spells as a manager at other clubs as well as working as a football agent, he returns to Atlético de Madrid as matchday delegate, a position he holds until his retirement.
